<image:caption>I’m Jen, the grower behind Bristol Flower Company. Since 2021, I’ve been growing flowers on my urban plot in central Bristol, transforming it into a space filled with colour, scent and wildlife. I grow seasonal, sustainably produced flowers with a focus on form and fragrance, from the first ranunculus of spring through to annuals, scented roses and late-summer dahlias. Quality and freshness sit at the heart of everything I do, with each stem harvested by hand and carefully conditioned. I love flowers that have movement, scent and individuality, that feel alive, expressive and of the moment. I grow in tune with the seasons, embracing their challenges and the quiet magic of waiting for each new variety to arrive.</image:caption>

Our journey began in our own garden in 2020, and in 2025 started an honesty shelf for the community 2025 followed by starting our own local Flower Farm. We produce local, seasonal flowers grown carefully and thoughtfully, with nature at the heart of everything we do.</image:caption>

I've had a previous career in business but decided to turn my love of British grown cut flowers into a new career direction in 2025. I have a particular love of foxgloves and I am increasing my stock of these as well as highly scented roses, spring bulbs and other beautiful perennials, We also have lots of mature shrubs and trees on the farm too, such as silver birch, and a selection of herbs such as mint and fennel which make such great fillers and add amazing scent. Nothing gives me more pleasure than sharing these gifts of nature with others as part of a special occasion or to cheer up a room.</image:caption>

Set up in 2019 after years of work in commercial veg horticulture, and growing veg and herbs for organic delivery, I branched out into a few edible blooms for adding to salad packs, and just kept going with the flowers. The majority of the annuals are grown in the four polytunnels, a few in the commercial greenhouse, with biennials and perennials down the the flower field. This year I’m very excited waiting for my own varieties of snapdragons and zinnias to bloom from seeds I've been selecting and crossing for the past few years. Some lovely pinks and peaches heading this way!</image:caption>

With nearly an acre of garden, we now grow beautiful, seasonal flowers in harmony with nature, supplying the local community with sustainably grown blooms. Our ethos is simple: work with the land, not against it. We grow flowers in an eco-friendly way with a minimal carbon footprint, delivering only locally. Nothing goes to waste here — with eight large compost bins, around 80% of our compost is made on site, and anything we buy in is always peat-free.</image:caption>

Over the last 10 years the business has grown and we now grow over 2 sites, on 2 acres of mixed beds with 2 x tunnels, a large greenhouse and access to woodland. We grow a large variety of foliage, shrubs, perennials, climbers, bulbs and of course annuals. We also grow a large selection of good quality, highly scented David Austin roses. We specialise in supplying high quality British flowers to creative florists, for weddings and events or retail, and enjoy cutting with care and attention to detail, to provide the very best combination of flowers for every order.</image:caption>

I started by supplying flowers to family and friends, growing and arranging for weddings and events, or just to cheer up our homes during lockdown. I retired from a busy career in the British Army in March 2024 and decided to make my passion into a job, so Buzzin Blooms was born! I have always been a keen gardener and learnt mainly from family or making my own mistakes. I have a love of science so propagation and growing are my areas of interest. We are based near Market Drayton in Shropshire and are really looking forward to supplying beautiful, locally grown, sustainable flowers to Florists and Designers.</image:caption>

We opened in the Spring of 2025 with a wide range of annual and perennial cut flowers. We grow lots of the classics with a mix of quirky blooms too, as much from seed on site as possible. We are completely chemical free and grow things for the pollinators too, which we love to see buzzing round the flower field. We aim to expand the flower field in the coming seasons, adding in more dahlias, roses, foliage and even PYO vegetables! My plots at the historic Red House Estate, Moor Monkton and at Summerfield Plant Nursery, Poppleton, York are surrounded by beautiful countryside and hedgerows that inspire my choice of varieties to grow. <image:caption>Hello I am Jill of Binnington Blooms. I have been growing flowers for cutting here on our farm near Scarborough since 2013. Quality and freshness are the two key principles of my flower production. I have a continuous selection of freshly picked and locally grown flowers available from early April to mid-October, changing week by week according to the season. All of them grown sustainably and in tune with nature allowing them to open in their natural time and thereby producing a strong, quality stem. I am delighted to be joining the York Flower Collective as it is going to make locally grown Yorkshire flowers so much easier for florists and customers to access - you are going to be blown away by the amazing range of quality flowers we can supply.</image:caption>

I love growing and supplying florists with their British favourites but also things to try for the first time! I’m always trialing and testing how things behave as cut flowers, how long the last, how long they take from picking to blooming and how florists can get the very best out of their field picks. I hope I can bring all your favourite flowers and perhaps some new varieties that you haven’t worked with before but will become firm favourites throughout the season. Looking forward to sending you some flowers this season, I hope they’ll bring some magic and joy to your designs.</image:caption>

I grow flowers for our floristry studio on the farm where we create and provide gloriously wild and natural flowers for weddings and events. I also grow for other event florists, who particularly love the unusual mix of flowers and foliages. I love anything scented, wild in spirit and totally natural, and my bouquets and arrangements reflect this. You can expect trails of jasmine, oodles of sweetpeas, hedgerow honeysuckle or hips and haws depending on the season. I am so lucky to work with amazing couples who totally 'get it' when it comes to seasonal flowers for their weddings. I am lucky to have their trust and it's the biggest joy bringing their visions to life. Seasonality and provenance is very important to me. I grow with organic principles on the farm and soil health and biodiversity is at the core of what we do.</image:caption>

<image:caption>East Lothian Flower Farm was founded in 2016 by Debbie Scott, growing childhood favourites in her small back garden. Scented sweet peas, dahlias, cornflowers and roses thrived and were snapped up by friends and family. After attending a Flower Farmer course by Gill Hodgson, founder of Flowers From The Farm, the dream has grown from garden to field. Bringing a former historic kitchen garden back into production on the Lennoxlove Estate near Haddington, ELFF took on 0.3 acres, expanding to 1 acre of growing space over the last year. The unique flowers and foliage are sold locally in bouquets, at farmers markets, and direct to customers from the field. Wholesale flowers go direct to florists for events, weddings and photoshoots. Flowers can also be purchased for DIY weddings and gifts, with workshops and pick-your-own classes also introduced this year. Sustainability is embedded in all the practices at ELFF from using soil association certified compost, growing flowers to encourage diversity, recycling pots, making compost and using recyclable practices in floristry. With a passion for land nature and growing, ELFF strives to work with the Flowers from the Farm Network to revitalise and promote the Scottish cut flower industry, getting more locally grown blooms into Scottish vases.
